Lead Data Analyst – Air Network Planning & Scheduling (Special Projects)

About the role

The Lead Data Analyst II drives advanced analytics, automation and optimization across FedEx's Asia Pacific air network. Acting as a strategic advisor, the role partners with scheduling and airline partner planning teams to translate complex operational challenges into data‑driven solutions that improve efficiency and support scalable network growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑impact, cross‑functional special projects spanning air network scheduling, partner planning and operational performance.
• Develop and implement optimization models, analytical frameworks and automation tools to improve network design, routing and capacity allocation.
• Design, build and maintain scripts, dashboards and lightweight products that streamline planning workflows.
• Collaborate with scheduling engineers, operations teams and partner managers to embed solutions into daily processes.
• Pilot experimental initiatives, evaluate outcomes and scale successful tools across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, Aviation or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in data analysis, analytics engineering or operational analytics, preferably in airline scheduling or air cargo logistics.
• Proven track record building automation tools, analytical models or internal products such as scripting, dashboards or optimization tools.
• Strong problem‑solving ability across technical and operational domains.
