Lead Designer – Workplace Interiors

About the role

Space Matrix is seeking a Lead Designer to drive the creation of innovative, human‑centric workplace interiors. You will work closely with our design studio team to develop concepts, lead client presentations, and ensure seamless project delivery from concept through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Strategize and develop design solutions that meet program requirements, budgets, and client objectives.
• Manage multiple projects, including feasibility studies and definition of design requirements.
• Collaborate with the design team to maintain quality, budget, and schedule integrity across project phases.
• Lead project meetings, client presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Oversee design management and coordination with internal and external partners.
• Conduct quality control reviews of design documentation and monitor deliverables for accuracy and timeliness.
• Participate in client work sessions and design reviews, incorporating feedback into project development.
• Travel as needed for presentations, coordination meetings, and site visits.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in commercial, corporate, or workplace interior design.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor design teams.
• Registered diploma or degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Strong design sensibility with the technical ability to take projects from concept to execution.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
