Lead Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to head the design, review and execution of low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) electrical systems and switchgear for major construction projects in Singapore. The role involves close collaboration with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and execution of LV/HV electrical systems and switchgear.
• Review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), perform load calculations and coordinate protection schemes.
• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning activities on site.
• Ensure all work complies with Singapore standards (EMA, SS, IEC) and project specifications.
• Support technical evaluation of equipment, vendors and subcontractors.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability development within the team.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in M&E or construction projects.
• Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Experience on infrastructure, MRT or LTA projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with LV and HV systems and switchgear.
• Proficiency in reviewing Single Line Diagrams, load calculations and protection coordination.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM and electrical analysis tools such as ETAP.
• Knowledge of Singapore electrical standards (EMA, SS, IEC).
