Lead Finance Analyst

About the role

The Lead Finance Analyst for Brand Building Investments (BBI) is responsible for managing and analysing marketing‑related financial resources. The role ensures budgets are accurate, spend is monitored, and financial insights support strategic brand‑building decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage central BBI budgets for brand‑building and marketing expenses, ensuring accurate forecasting, allocation and tracking.
• Monitor actual spend against budgets, investigate variances and present recommendations to stakeholders.
• Partner with marketing, commercial, procurement and finance teams to implement cost‑saving strategies and improve processes.
• Load forecasts into OneStream (or other financial systems) and maintain projection accuracy.
• Ensure timely reporting of cost‑of‑acquisition (COA) and marketing investment performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Execute month‑end close activities for marketing expenses, including reconciliations, accruals, pre‑payments and general‑ledger adjustments.
• Prepare detailed variance analyses and reports for senior management review.
• Serve as the primary financial partner for marketing and commercial teams, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, governance frameworks and audit‑ready documentation for all marketing transactions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ad‑hoc analyses to address urgent business needs.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance or accounting with experience in budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close.
• Proven ability to analyse marketing or brand‑building investments and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Procurement and Commercial Finance.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on compliance and accurate financial reporting.
