Lead / Principal / Senior Product Designer (Design System)

About the role

LTA is establishing an enterprise Design System to give its digital products and services a consistent, scalable foundation. As Lead / Principal / Senior Product Designer, you will help build and evolve the Design System while supporting the delivery of intuitive, accessible and user-centred digital products. You will work closely with product teams, engineers and fellow designers to create reusable design foundations, UI components and guidelines, and will also contribute to end-to-end product design when required.

Key responsibilities

• Help plan, develop and continuously improve the enterprise Design System, including colour, typography, spacing, layouts, iconography and accessibility standards.
• Design, build and maintain reusable UI components, patterns and templates, and contribute to documentation, usage guidelines and best practices.
• Work with front-end developers so that design components match implementation.
• Support Design System adoption by guiding teams, reviewing component usage and spotting improvement opportunities.
• Support end-to-end product design: discovery workshops, user and stakeholder research, journey mapping, wireframes, high-fidelity design, interactive prototyping, usability testing, design QA and developer handoff.

Required profile

• 3-5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design or UI Design.
• Demonstrated experience building a Design System from the ground up.
• Proven end-to-end product design for web or enterprise applications, and experience creating component libraries and documentation.
• Experience in Agile, multidisciplinary teams and close collaboration with developers.
• Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related degree; professional certifications in Product Management, Agile, Scrum, Cloud or AI are an advantage.
• At least 5 years in Product Management, Digital Transformation, Enterprise Platforms or Digital Service Delivery, including managing digital products from concept to implementation.
• Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise system integration and cross-functional teams; AI-enabled products or intelligent automation experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Figma, including Variables, Component Properties and Interactive Components.
• Design systems, design tokens and reusable component architecture.
• UX research, interaction design, information architecture and usability principles.
• Accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design.
• Product management methodologies, Agile and Scrum, cloud computing, API management, microservices, IAM, cybersecurity and data protection.
