Lead Software Engineer - FX

About the role

As a Lead Software Engineer on the Commercial & Investment Bank’s Sales & Research Technology team, you will drive the design and delivery of client‑ and sales‑facing applications for the J.P. Morgan Markets Execute platform. You will apply deep front‑end expertise and modern engineering practices to build secure, stable and scalable solutions that have a measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Build and support client and sales‑facing capabilities of the Markets Execute platform and related applications.
• Design and evolve front‑end architecture, including component hierarchies, scalable patterns and modular codebases.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, UX and QA to analyse requirements, estimate effort and participate in planning and design sessions.
• Leverage modern languages, frameworks and AI‑powered tooling to solve complex problems and accelerate delivery.
• Influence application architecture, contribute to internal frameworks and shared libraries.
• Mentor junior developers and champion engineering best practices.
• Optimize web applications for performance, responsiveness and operational stability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of front‑end development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux Toolkit and RxJS.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, reactive programming, testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to solve design and functionality problems independently.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, Agile environments within financial services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
