Lean Leader

About the role

Gevernova is looking for a Lean Leader who coaches, drives and leads lean behaviours, principles and tools across an operational or functional area. The aim is to transform the culture so that operational business metrics improve significantly.

Key responsibilities

• Drive performance on safety, quality, delivery, cost and support cell leaders, operation leaders, product engineers, supervisors and technicians.
• Implement standard work/playbooks for every lean line to cover EHS, quality, productivity, cost, delivery and heijunka.
• Lead problem-solving sessions, kaizen events and lean roadmap planning, and coach lean methods to new Kaizen team leaders, professionals and line leaders.
• Challenge norms, lead breakthroughs, manage communications with key stakeholders and support talent development.
• Run Lean action workouts, drive completion of Kaizen actions, implement flow, run daily management, drive problem-solving culture, achieve Takt and run 3P exercises.
• Use lean digital resources to drive cell performance and partner with global teams (Materials, Optimization, Special Process, Engineering, Maintenance, Productivity, Lean) to optimise production via a pull system for on-time delivery.
• Reduce WIP inventory and wing-to-wing lead time, meet productivity targets, maintain total productivity, and lead moonshine activities through KPO management.
• Share best practices and support kaizen activities for assigned regional repair facilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in operations, lean or technical roles.
• Experience in lean manufacturing is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong stakeholder management and inclusive leadership, communication and coaching skills.
• Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex business issues with multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to work with heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of 5S and standard work.
