Lean Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring a Lean Manufacturing Engineer for its MSH/MSB site. The role manages the implementation of Lean transformation methodologies and tools across High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), Component Assembly and Test, and SSD operations, working closely with site functional teams to find step-change improvements in throughput, labor productivity, yield and cycle time.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate continuous improvement events such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, projects and workshops
• Develop a continuous program and system for sustaining a lean culture
• Work with functional experts to identify improvement areas using Lean methods and tools
• Deliver Lean knowledge transfer and training to build organizational capability
• Act as the link between central and site teams, driving and communicating progress on critical initiatives
• Ensure Lean diagnostics and improvement designs integrate inputs from central and site teams
• Track initiatives against key performance indicators and report milestones with clear ownership
• Trigger interventions to keep programs on track and support regular reporting to senior leadership
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness

Required profile

• Master's or bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering, engineering management, production and operations management or a related field
• Prior Lean Manufacturing certification or experience is beneficial
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is an advantage
