Lecturer - Accounting (2-Year Contract)

About the role

ITE College Central is hiring a Lecturer in Accounting on a 2-year contract. Beyond teaching and facilitating learning, the lecturer plays a key role in recognising and nurturing students' potential and their lifelong learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach accounting-related subjects to students.
• Carry out industry or consultancy projects to stay relevant in the profession and keep strong links with industry and schools.
• Take part in industry projects and student development activities.
• Have regular industry attachments or experience to update professional skills, knowledge and practice.

Required profile

• Relevant work experience in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Ability to teach in at least three of the following areas: Accounting, Costing, Auditing, Taxation, Accounting Software (e.g. ABSS/MYOB, ACCPAC/SAGE 300, XERO).
• Good and relevant experience may lead to Senior Lecturer or equivalent positions, with career development toward leadership roles in the Colleges or Headquarters.

• Accounting, costing, auditing and taxation.
• Accounting software such as MYOB, ACCPAC/SAGE 300 or XERO.
• Advantageous: business intelligence tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI), innovative technologies (e.g. Blockchain, Fintech, RPA) and entrepreneurship.
