Lecturer (Business) – School of Business

About the role

The School of Business is looking for a lecturer to teach Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) students. The role involves delivering lessons, developing curricula and learning materials, and supporting students' employability, while also taking part in consultancy, applied research and collaboration with industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons, develop teaching and assessment materials and facilitate learning for PET and CET students.
• Develop or enhance curricula and learning materials, and contribute to PET and CET modules using GenAI and EdTech tools where applicable.
• Help build teaching and learning capabilities within the School's academic team and support its strategic initiatives.
• Handle academic administration such as setting assessments, grading and coordinating reports.
• Provide pastoral support and guide students through internships, final-year projects, competitions, career development and overseas learning.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification in Business, Banking, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, Business Technology or a related field.
• Nurturing mindset, strong industry connections and ability to integrate current technology and industry trends into teaching.
• Collaborative, self-driven team player with strong communication, facilitation, project and stakeholder management skills.
• Specialisation in either Digital Solutions and Business Technology or Banking and Finance, with at least three years of relevant experience in the chosen track.

Required skills

• Digital track: digital transformation, automation, CRM, e-commerce, marketing technology, data analytics, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical learners.
• Banking and finance track: banking operations, risk, compliance and AML/KYC, financial markets, fintech, sustainable finance or ESG; CFA, FRM or IBF certification is a bonus.
