Lecturer (Integrated & Smart Facility Management) – School of Engineering

About the role

The School of Engineering seeks a Lecturer to deliver lessons to full‑time diploma students and part‑time adult learners, handling all related academic duties.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver curriculum, courseware and e‑learning modules for assigned programmes.
• Supervise and assess student projects and internships in collaboration with industry partners.
• Apply IT tools and multimedia platforms to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
• Coach and mentor students in academic development, competitions, career guidance and personal growth.
• Participate in academic administration, committee work and support outreach activities, community projects and study trips.

Required profile

• Qualification in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Sciences or related Built Environment discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in facilities management or sustainability consultancy.
• Hands‑on experience with Smart Facilities Management, BIM for FM, Digital Twin, Building IoT and data analytics.
• Good knowledge of operation and maintenance of key building systems such as fire safety, BMS, ACMV and security systems.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Fire Safety Manager, Autodesk Revit, BIM Modelling, Green Mark Accredited Professional) are an advantage.
