Lecturer - Mechanical Engineering

About the role

ITE College Central is hiring a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering. Beyond teaching and facilitating learning, the lecturer plays a key role in recognising and nurturing students' potential and their lifelong learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in industry or consultancy projects to stay up to date with evolving industry trends.
• Maintain strong partnerships with industry stakeholders and academic institutions.
• Participate in industry attachments or practical training to keep enhancing skills and knowledge.

Required profile

• A strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant industry experience in the mechanical or manufacturing sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, independent and a strong team player.

Required skills

• Advantageous: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Generative Design
• Advantageous: Manufacturing automation (robots, sensors, PLCs)
• Advantageous: Plant equipment and machinery maintenance
• Advantageous: Data acquisition and analytics for predictive maintenance

Candidates with good and relevant experience may be considered for Senior Lecturer or equivalent positions, with career development opportunities to leadership roles in the Colleges or Headquarters.
