Lecturer – Product Experience & Design

About the role

The School of Design at Temasek Polytechnic is seeking a Lecturer in Product Experience & Design to inspire and guide students in creating meaningful, technology‑driven design solutions. You will join a vibrant, award‑winning design school and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials and student consultations covering product, experience and interaction design.
• Supervise assignments and cap‑stone projects that sit at the intersection of technology and design.
• Design and continuously improve curriculum, assessments and learning resources, leveraging digital tools where appropriate.
• Stay connected with industry and professional bodies to keep the programme aligned with current trends.
• Address diverse learning needs and support holistic student development.
• Develop and facilitate professional workshops and continuing‑education programmes for working adults.

Required profile

• Strong background in qualitative and quantitative design research, human‑centred design and user testing for digital and physical products.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept through delivery.
• Experience teaching or mentoring in a higher‑education setting is desirable.

Required skills

• 3D modelling with Rhino3D, Blender and KeyShot.
• UI/UX design and wireframing using Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Data gathering and analysis for design research.
• Project management.
