Research Fellow (Humanities/Arts/Social Science)

About the role

The NTU College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS) invites early‑career scholars to join as Research Fellows. The fellowship supports independent research within humanities, arts or social sciences, contributing to the college’s research, teaching and intellectual life. Fellows will develop a strong research portfolio while engaging with interdisciplinary thematic clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality research aligned with one or more of CoHASS thematic clusters (Digital Humanities, Global Asia, Health, Culture & Society, Arts, Culture & Sustainability).
• Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals, conferences and other scholarly outlets.
• Participate in college seminars, workshops and teaching activities as appropriate.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners, including cultural institutions and research centres.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent research experience in a humanities, arts or social science discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to develop an independent research agenda.
• Interest in interdisciplinary work and engagement with digital, AI or policy‑relevant themes.
