Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Academic Development & Management (Engineering)

About the role

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Academic Development) in the School of Engineering, responsible for designing and delivering applied curricula in statistics, electronics, design thinking, business innovation and entrepreneurship, and for fostering an innovative culture among staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver applied curricula in statistics, electronics, design thinking, business innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Collaborate with teams to promote innovative and enterprising initiatives and develop entrepreneurship programmes.
• Lead or represent the school on committees related to academic operations, student development and outreach.
• Identify and spearhead new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with industry partners.
• Plan, lead and manage projects or co‑developed training courses with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver Continuing Education and Training programmes for adult learners and industry partners.

Required profile

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering or Statistics.
• At least 2 years of relevant work or industrial experience, preferably involving applications of statistics, electronics, design thinking or entrepreneurship.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, pedagogy, project‑based learning and effective teaching/assessment practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong IT skills and competency with online learning platforms and educational technology.
