Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Architecture)

About the role

Singapore Polytechnic's School of Architecture & the Built Environment is recruiting a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Architecture. The academic must combine domain knowledge and working experience with a passion for working with young people and shaping their character. The role involves curriculum and pedagogical development, industry engagement through consultancy or applied research, and administrative work linked to teaching and institutional strategy. It is open to teaching at diploma level in the Construction Industry Transformation Map (ITM) and architectural domains.

Key responsibilities

• Teach PET and CET students, covering Computational Design, A.I. applications and History and Theory of Architecture
• Keep the curriculum up to date by reviewing existing courses and recommending improvements that boost student performance, learning and employability
• Support learning through competitions, project and internship supervision, and overseas learning or community service programmes
• Work with colleagues and industry on applied industry projects and consultancy, and support SkillsFuture initiatives such as the Enhanced Internship Programmes, Work Study Programme and CET programmes

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications and certifications in Architecture
• At least 4 years of relevant architecture experience, preferably in Computational Design and A.I. applications
• Knowledge of Architecture History and Theory from the 1900s onwards
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students and adult learners
• Able to engage industry on consultancy projects
