Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Technical Analysis & CET)

About the role

Singapore Polytechnic's School of Business is recruiting a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Technical Analysis and Continuing Education and Training (CET). The post holder teaches PET and CET students, develops the curriculum and takes part in consultancy and applied research projects, alongside teaching-related administration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct lessons, prepare teaching and assessment materials and facilitate learning for PET and CET students.
• Keep up to date with developments in the field and maintain a relevant, up-to-date curriculum, recommending improvements to enhance student performance, learning and employability.
• Support student learning through competition training, project and internship supervision, and overseas learning programmes and community service.
• Identify and build industry partnerships, and take part in consultancy projects with industry partners.
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry on applied industry projects and consultancies, and support IBF / SkillsFuture initiatives such as the Enhanced Internship Programmes and CET programmes.
• Handle administrative work relating to teaching.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial institutions such as banks, brokerages and/or insurance companies.
• Part-time education experience is an added advantage.
• Strong passion for mentoring students and genuine concern for their development.
• Team player with good communication skills and proven ability to engage with industry on banking, finance, analytics, fintech consultancy projects.
• Relevant qualifications in Banking/Finance/Analytics/IT (e.g. MFAS, CACS, CFA, CAIA) are an added advantage.

Required skills

• Competence to teach Technical Analysis, Corporate Finance, Credit Risk Analysis and Management, International Trade Finance and Wealth Management.
• Ability to adapt to changing industry and education landscapes and to communicate effectively.

Successful candidates are offered a 2-year contract initially. Shortlisted candidates should expect to hear back within 30 days of the closing date.
