Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Biomedical Science with Analytics)

About the role

Nanyang Polytechnic is hiring a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science with Analytics within its School of Applied Sciences. You will play an active role in the academic, professional and personal development of learners, preparing them for work and life, including developing Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) curricula, delivering programmes and working on industry projects. The position is listed as hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and review PET and CET curriculum, including face-to-face, online and blended learning.
• Design and develop teaching materials, assessments, applied projects and authentic learning activities that integrate science with AI and data analytics.
• Prepare and grade assessments and supervise learners in their daily coursework.
• Use the Learning Management System and interactive digital tools to enhance learner engagement and outcomes.
• Serve as a Personal Mentor, providing pastoral support and helping with day-to-day academic and administrative matters.
• Contribute to school and diploma initiatives, committees, outreach, curriculum reviews and quality assurance.
• Build partnerships with industry to lead and develop industry projects, internships and collaborative initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in Biomedical Science or Life Sciences, with expertise in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, and qualifications or experience in Bioinformatics, Data Analytics, Data Science or related fields.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a science-related field.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI, machine learning, predictive analytics or modelling to solve real-world biomedical, healthcare or life sciences problems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills, with the ability to collaborate, adapt and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in analytics tools or programming languages such as SAS Viya, Python, SQL or Power BI, or equivalents.
• Contribution to teaching and curriculum development in areas such as Predictive Analytics and Forecasting, Predictive Modelling, Database Design and Administration, Data and Statistical Methods and Applied Calculus.
