Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor (Gerontology)

About the role

Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is recruiting a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor to join the Gerontology cluster in the S R Nathan School of Human Development. The successful candidate will teach and conduct research in Gerontology and closely related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Design and teach courses under the Gerontology Programmes
• Support the administrative and internationalization of gerontology programmes
• Conduct impactful, community-based research on ageing-related issues
• Develop and enhance gerontology programmes, including curriculum design and student mentoring
• Engage with community organizations, policymakers and industry partners to promote aging-related initiatives and Gerontology Programmes
• Contribute to university service, including committee work and academic events

Required profile

• A PhD or equivalent in Gerontology, Aging Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in ageing-related research, teaching or practice
• Strong publication record and ability to secure research funding
• Experience in curriculum development, programme leadership or community-based aging projects is an advantage
• Passion for lifelong learning, community engagement and public education in ageing
