Legal Consultant – Commercial Contracts (Japanese Speaker)

About the role

Axiom is seeking a Legal Consultant specialized in commercial contracts for the Japanese market. You will support Fortune 500 clients remotely, providing expert legal advice and contract management.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including creative, advertising, digital marketing, procurement, technology, and partnership deals.
• Develop, implement, and advise on commercial marketplace contracts, terms and conditions of sale, distribution agreements, and related policies.
• Collaborate with client legal teams and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Japanese law and corporate standards.
• Provide strategic guidance on contract risk, negotiation tactics, and commercial best practices.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 4 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with global clients.
• Prior experience in Japan or with Japanese market contracts is a plus.
• Fluent in both Japanese and English, with strong written communication skills.
