About the role
We are looking for a versatile, commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to join the APAC legal team of a leading global alternative asset manager. The role sits at the intersection of private credit and institutional asset management, supporting both transaction and fund‑related work across the region and internationally.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on structuring and execution of private credit deals across APAC and other jurisdictions.
- Negotiate and draft finance documentation, coordinating with external counsel in multiple jurisdictions.
- Support fund formation activities, including review of investor documents such as LPAs, PPMs and side letters.
- Provide guidance on distribution, regulatory matters and compliance.
- Act as a legal partner to investment professionals and senior stakeholders, contributing to governance processes and strategic initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Law (LLB or equivalent).
- 8‑12 years post‑qualification experience in private practice or in‑house within a bank/asset‑management firm.
- Strong grounding in leveraged finance and fund documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder‑management and solution‑oriented approach.
