Logistics General Manager

About the role

The Logistics General Manager will lead the daily operations of the logistics function, ensuring seamless and timely delivery of goods while maintaining robust inventory control. You will work closely with sales and production teams to optimise the supply chain and minimise variances.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics workflows, verify shipping arrangements and audit stock takes.
• Manage the section’s expenditure, including vendor pricing, quotations and expense invoices.
• Analyse sales and inventory data to support production planning and resolve material variances.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, addressing sales, stock or delivery issues promptly.
• Mentor and coach the logistics team, conduct regular check‑ins and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma qualification.
• At least 6 months of experience in a managerial or similar capacity.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder coordination.
