Logistics Specialist

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join its component repair facility at 61 Seletar Aerospace View in Singapore. The role is onsite and covers daily store operations, material movement and support of logistics activities.

Key responsibilities

• Daily store goods receive, issuance and all other material movement activities
• Inspect incoming spares and materials, and handle shipping bonding
• Support logistics operations, including packing and unpacking shipments
• Track shortages and deliveries of goods and materials
• Support chemical and waste store management
• Reconcile invoice discrepancies in the invoicing system and review open purchase orders and customer orders
• Work with vendors, buyers, Operations and customer service
• Run daily reports for the material and shipping department
• Assist material movement caused by quality issues (Return Material Authorisation) and conduct periodic stock takes
• Support continuous improvement and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities
• Maintain store productivity and safety through 6S activities

Required profile

• Minimum Nitec qualification in Engineering or a relevant discipline
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in store or inventory management is preferred; entry-level candidates are welcome
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently, with good communication skills
• Willingness to support overtime when needed
• Preferred: aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience
