Looker Architect – Data Warehouse & Dashboard Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Looker Architect to design, build, and optimise data visualisations and semantic models on Looker Studio integrated with BigQuery. The role focuses on delivering high‑performance dashboards and ensuring data governance across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Architect complex, multi‑page dashboards that provide high‑level KPIs and granular drill‑down capabilities.
• Configure seamless connections between Looker Studio and BigQuery, designing semantic layers and governed datasets.
• Implement performance optimisation strategies, including SQL query tuning, leveraging BigQuery BI Engine, and managing data extraction schedules.
• Establish governance and security best practices for data access control, credential management, and versioning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical specifications and user‑centric visualisations.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse concepts and Medallion architecture.
• Proven ability to work closely with business stakeholders to define and deliver visual analytics solutions.
