M&A Operations Senior Associate

About the role

PwC's Deals Advisory Practice in Singapore, which is the largest in the country, is looking for a Senior Associate to join its M&A Operations team. The practice helps clients realise the potential of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets, covering the full deal continuum from strategy and origination through transaction support and finance raising to post-deal integration and exit. The team focuses on all operational aspects of a transaction, before and after completion.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively assist in managing several clients, reporting to managers and above, and build direct working relationships with clients.
• Work directly with private equity investors and corporate C-suite executives.
• Take part in business development to identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients.
• Handle tasks from pre-deal due diligence and value creation leverage assessment to post-deal takeover control.
• Support carve-outs and post-merger integration, and improve finance and operations processes.
• Conduct financial and business due diligence and review business plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above from a reputable university.
• 2-5 years of experience in M&A or divestitures, including pre-deal due diligence, integration planning, separation planning, synergy and cost savings analysis, and post-deal transformation.
• Strong understanding of operating models, products and services; experience in business or data migrations is a plus.
• Able to quickly assess a business's performance and outline improvements from limited information, and to draw out key messages from large amounts of information.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management and analytical skills, with good understanding of financial results.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
