Machine Maintenance Technician – Dry Etching & Plasma Equipment

About the role

The position is responsible for maintaining Dry Etching, Plasma and Annealing Oven equipment within Qualcomm's manufacturing environment. The technician works independently on complex assignments, contributes to continuous improvement, and supports the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, tool calibrations, type conversions and equipment fine‑tuning before production release.
• Repair and troubleshoot equipment to minimise downtime, and assist engineers with spare‑parts management.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, coach the team on difficult tasks, and train new line technicians.
• Lead equipment improvement projects such as modifications to reduce wafer breakage and increase uptime.
• Ensure compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S standards and clean‑room protocols.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent technical certificate.
• At least 4 years of relevant technical experience in equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, hands‑on, and dive into technical details.
• Proficiency with computer systems and MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
