Machine Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, calibrations and equipment conversions on manufacturing machinery. The role also includes troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring safety and quality standards, and releasing machines back to production after service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, calibrations and equipment conversions as defined in the maintenance plan.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
• Apply sound technical judgment on higher‑complexity assignments and make decisions to restore machine functionality.
• Share knowledge and standardize procedures across similar equipment to improve performance.
• Train and mentor new line technicians on maintenance practices and safety protocols.
• Release equipment to production after maintenance, confirming compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Withdraw spare parts from inventory and service tooling, jigs and machine components to maintain parts availability.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent technical certificate.
• Minimum of four years of relevant technical experience in machine maintenance.
• Demonstrated technical competency in the field of study and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Preferred knowledge of electroplating and wet‑processing equipment.
