Machinery Engineer – Oil & Gas

About the role

Our major downstream oil & gas client seeks a Machinery Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operations across a chemical plant and refinery complex. You will lead safety compliance, provide engineering expertise, and support major maintenance shutdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and design engineering solutions for machinery equipment.
• Conduct root‑cause and failure analysis, and drive long‑term improvement initiatives.
• Provide field engineering support, troubleshooting, and follow‑up on deliverables.
• Support major shutdowns and inspections of turbines, gas turbines, and related equipment.
• Deliver technical training and act as the key contact for your area of expertise.
• Ensure compliance with site SHE protocols and company control requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of machinery engineering experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Previous experience working for an oil and gas operator.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
