Machinery Engineer Specialist III – Singapore

About the role

We are seeking experienced Machinery Engineer Specialists to provide technical and engineering expertise for rotating and mechanical equipment across refinery and petrochemical operations within the Singapore Manufacturing Complex. The role focuses on maintaining equipment integrity, enhancing reliability, optimizing performance, and supporting safe plant operations through effective engineering solutions and maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold and champion all site safety, health, and environmental requirements, promoting a safety‑first mindset.
• Deliver day‑to‑day engineering support for rotating and mechanical equipment, investigate issues, perform technical evaluations and identify root causes of failures.
• Provide engineering support during plant shutdowns, turnarounds and major maintenance campaigns, and assist operations during start‑ups, inspections and abnormal conditions.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for machinery and rotating equipment systems, reviewing project designs and engineering deliverables for technical quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Project and Technical Support teams to achieve business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 5 to 10 years of experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical processing or similar industrial sectors.
• Proven experience supporting rotating machinery and mechanical systems in operating facilities.
• Demonstrated capability in equipment troubleshooting, reliability engineering, maintenance planning and performance optimisation.
