Maintenance Engineer – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at the Tuas site in Singapore. The role is fully site‑based, supporting real‑time collaboration to ensure medicines are manufactured to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily routine and repair work orders to minimise production disruption.
• Ensure scheduled maintenance is performed in line with engineering standards and cGMP requirements.
• Respond to on‑call service breakdowns and support ongoing operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead recovery activities with the Maintenance Associate Engineer.
• Oversee vendor and service provider activities for routine equipment maintenance.
• Maintain audit readiness by complying with regulatory, statutory and GMP standards.
• Review completed maintenance work orders in SAP to guarantee accurate GMP documentation.
• Communicate non‑compliance issues, delays or missing parts to the Manager.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability and process robustness.

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and interact with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• SAP for maintenance work order management.
