Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to lead a large technical team responsible for the upkeep of heavy machinery and plant equipment across Singapore, primarily based at Changi Airport. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a technical team of 50‑100 service and maintenance staff.
• Oversee daily workforce deployments, ensuring productivity, skill development and a strong safety culture.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules to meet operational requirements.
• Source, evaluate and partner with qualified subcontractors for specialised works.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify preventative maintenance needs and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Prepare and monitor annual, quarterly and monthly budgets for the maintenance department.
• Manage parts and equipment inventory, track repair costs and optimise resource allocation.
• Act as primary escalation point for client feedback and ensure continuous service quality improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or related engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience (degree) or 15 years (diploma) in installation, servicing and maintenance of heavy machinery, plant and equipment.
• Strong leadership, supervisory and training experience managing large, multicultural technician teams.
• Construction Safety Course for Project Managers (CSCPM) certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client negotiation and technical presentations.
