Management Trainee, Regional Controller APAC

About the role

Sika, a specialty chemicals company with subsidiaries in 103 countries, is recruiting a Management Trainee for its Regional Controller APAC function. The programme is an 18-month, structured path for fresh graduates and early-career candidates, combining on-the-job training, formal learning, mentoring, coaching and project work. You will be assigned to a sponsoring department and follow a learning journey with company-wide initiatives, cross-functional exposure and performance reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across APAC markets
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
• Analyse revenue, profitability, operating expenses and key business performance indicators
• Contribute to process standardization, automation and continuous improvement
• Support investment evaluations, business cases and strategic projects
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls and corporate governance
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects assigned by regional finance leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of relevant experience
• Strong academic record and active extracurricular involvement are an added advantage
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills, and excellent written and verbal communication
• Willingness to travel and take on cross-functional assignments during and after the programme

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Power BI, SQL, data analytics tools, programming languages or other digital platforms are an added advantage
