Manager, Academic Planning & Governance

About the role

The Student and Academic Services Department seeks a Manager to lead graduate academic planning and governance. Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will oversee intake and enrolment planning, performance monitoring and data‑driven decision making for postgraduate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the annual Graduate Intake and Enrolment Planning (GIEP) exercise.
• Partner with schools to gather intake and enrolment projections, ensuring data quality and compliance with MOE funding principles and university policies.
• Prepare, submit and certify postgraduate intake and enrolment reports.
• Coordinate collection, consolidation and validation of information from schools and stakeholders for strategic initiatives and institutional planning.
• Develop reports and presentation materials for senior management, strategic reviews and governance committees.
• Identify information gaps, emerging trends and risks, recommending actions to improve planning outcomes.
• Enhance reporting frameworks and stakeholder engagement processes to strengthen governance and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• 6–8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in higher education institutional planning, governance or policy compliance (preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information into clear reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Good understanding of governance, compliance and data‑governance principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
