Manager, Data Science - Full-stack Insights, AI & Analytics (North Asia)

About the role

J&J is looking for a manager-level individual contributor in its Commercial Excellence Insights and Analytics Hub, AP Strategy Organization, within Innovative Medicine. The role focuses on Brand Competitiveness Insights, Customer Insights and Investment & Resourcing Insights, with a market focus on North Asia (Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong). It is an end-to-end role: framing the commercial question, building the analysis with AI as the main tool, judging the quality of the results and delivering decision-ready insights.

Key responsibilities

• Frame ambiguous commercial questions from North Asia markets and turn them into a clear plan of insights needed to change a decision.
• Use AI to prepare data across sales, customer engagement, market and account sources and run exploratory analysis, applying statistical and predictive methods where they add value.
• Test results against alternative explanations, data artefacts and common analytical traps, and state the confidence level and why.
• Deliver crisp narratives for leadership decisions and commercial actions, typically in PowerPoint.
• Act as the primary point of contact for North Asia stakeholders and partner with CE, BU, IT and regional and local teams.
• Share AI workflows, reusable components and templates to raise the team's way of working.

Required profile

• Typically 5+ years in advanced analytics, data science, consulting or a similar role, with insights that changed real business decisions.
• Degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent demonstrated rigour.
• Preferred: Korean language proficiency, pharmaceutical or healthcare commercial data experience, North Asia market experience, and therapeutic area knowledge in Oncology or Immunology.

Required skills

• Heavy, hands-on use of AI to write and run analysis code, build tools and ship interactive outputs; experience with agentic workflows is a plus.
• Comfort reading, running and debugging code written by AI in Python, SQL or R.
• Solid statistics and analytical reasoning, and structured problem solving.
• Clear communication with non-technical and senior audiences.
