Manager, Digital Transformation & Generative AI Innovation

About the role

The role sits within the Corporate Group of IMDA and is part of the Innovation, Generative AI team in the Digital Transformation Office. You will lead the technical development and integration of enterprise applications with generative AI capabilities, driving digital transformation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee the technical architecture of applications, embedding generative AI features such as text, image and code generation.
• Build and maintain AI pipelines, prompt‑engineering frameworks and RAG architectures while ensuring performance, cost‑efficiency and responsible AI standards.
• Guide development teams, evaluate AI models and tools, and implement AI governance, security and compliance guidelines.
• Manage the full application lifecycle, coordinate cross‑functional delivery, and apply agile and MLOps practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in application development and technical team management.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with generative AI technologies (LLMs, multimodal models, prompt engineering, RAG).

Required skills

• Python and modern development frameworks.
• Experience with AI/ML platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation technologies.
• API design, microservices architecture and system integration.
• Vector databases, embedding technologies and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt‑engineering techniques.
• AI model fine‑tuning, deployment, monitoring and MLOps practices.
