Manager, Operations - Nursing Home

About the role

NTUC Health is looking for a Manager, Operations to assist the Senior Manager in leading the Operations Department of the Geylang East Nursing Home. The role drives operational excellence, ensures compliance with regulatory, licensing, safety and environmental requirements, and keeps the building's structure, appearance and functions up to standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Operations team to deliver smoothly the facilities, laundry, housekeeping, fire command centre and transportation services
• Plan, communicate and implement policies and procedures, and develop and implement an operations strategy including efficiency and productivity projects
• Streamline cross-department workflows and processes, and engage contracted vendors and service providers
• Assess and submit requests for maintenance of environmental services and equipment, and keep the building and environment safe for residents and staff
• Maintain operational SOPs, act as subject matter expert for internal and external audits, and report and analyse Operations Management System KPIs (consulting the Centre Director)
• Manage department budgets and expenditures, and take part in budget planning and expense monitoring
• Assist in developing new nursing homes, including equipment acquisition, development projects, costing and planning with the Centre Director

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Building, Facilities Management or Engineering
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and good coordination, interpersonal and people management skills
• Good communication skills
• Nice to have: practical knowledge of nursing home operations
