Manager, Programme Administration & Management – Teacher Education

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) seeks a Manager to support the Associate Dean in planning and managing initial teacher preparation and undergraduate programmes. This role combines operational oversight with strategic support for programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer initial teacher preparation and undergraduate programmes, including timetabling, class allocation and academic planning.
• Liaise with subject/course coordinators and external stakeholders on programme and student matters.
• Provide leadership to the programme team, fostering professional development and effective teamwork.
• Offer secretariat support for committees and prepare policy papers for management boards and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in business management.
• At least four years of relevant experience in student support or programme administration, ideally within a tertiary institution.
• Proven ability to understand complex operational processes, provide clear direction, lead change and develop staff.
• Strong administrative, organizational and writing skills, with the capacity to work under pressure and occasional evenings/weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in a digitalised environment and Microsoft Office applications.
