Manager (Training Excellence)

About the role

The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), the training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, is looking for a Manager (Training Excellence) to join its Training Excellence (TE) Section. The role drives courseware development, digital learning initiatives and training quality to improve the learning experience and effectiveness of aviation training. It calls for expertise in instructional design and educational technology, with a proven track record of collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver technology-enabled learning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Run courseware development projects through the full lifecycle: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.
• Work with subject matter experts and instructors to give learning design guidance and create online courseware, videos and digital content.
• Research and benchmark digital learning and educational technology trends, giving evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers and instructors to implement and optimise learning technologies, including the Learning Management System.
• Train and support internal stakeholders so they can adopt and use learning technologies smoothly.
• Design and run Train-the-Trainer programmes to build instructional capability and uphold delivery standards.
• Evaluate existing programmes and learning technologies, identify best practices and conduct internal audits to ensure training meets quality standards.

Required profile

• Qualifications or experience in adult learning, curriculum development, instructional design, educational technology or related fields.
• Proven track record in implementing and managing digital learning technologies.
• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking, and excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, a good team player who can multi-task.

Required skills

• Proficiency in content authoring tools such as Articulate and iSpring.
• Proficiency in Learning Management Systems.

What we offer

• A 3-year contract initially, with possible consideration for permanent tenure or contract renewal.
