Managing Director – Ground Handling & Cargo Operations

About the role

The Managing Director leads dnata’s ground handling and cargo business in Singapore, shaping the national strategy and ensuring safe, reliable, customer‑focused operations across all functions. Reporting directly to global leadership, the role carries full P&L accountability and represents dnata to regulators, airport authorities and key partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑year business strategy aligned with dnata’s global direction.
• Integrate Operations, Cargo, Commercial, HR, Finance and Safety functions to achieve strategic objectives.
• Drive transformation programmes, including automation, digitalisation and process optimisation.
• Ensure operational performance meets or exceeds customer SLAs and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with aviation standards.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, performance management and capital planning.
• Strengthen relationships with airline customers, Changi Airport authorities and other key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in aviation, ground handling or cargo operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with full P&L responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and drive organisational change.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with government, regulators and airline partners.
• Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
