Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical)

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical) will provide sustaining engineering support for CNC machinery assembly and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. The role focuses on design, validation, and cost‑reduction activities while ensuring compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide sustaining engineering support to CNC machinery assembly processes.
• Support manufacturing and assembly process improvements and value‑engineering initiatives.
• Conduct failure analysis and cost‑reduction activities.
• Lead process validation, design fixtures and tooling for production.
• Set up and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing in SAP.
• Prepare process manuals and check sheets for production use.
• Improve key performance indicators such as quality, waste, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, regulatory, and housekeeping requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet common goals.
• Design equipment layouts and support new product introduction (NPI) and product transfer to China/India.
• Follow workplace safety and health procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or other 3‑D design software.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantage).
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite.
