Material Planner (Production)

About the role

A full-time Material Planner (Production) position based in Singapore's West Region. The planner supports the master production schedule by planning material requirements, coordinating deliveries and working with purchasing, production and the warehouse team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan material requirements and process purchase orders to support the master production schedule
• Coordinate delivery schedules of purchased parts to the manufacturing facility
• Support month-end closing to ensure accurate materials inventory
• Coordinate material flow with other departments and handle new materials lot qualification
• Manage forecast demand fluctuations and analyse their impact on the master production schedule
• Work with the Purchasing Team to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials
• Work with the Production Team and RD Team on materials usage rates
• Work with the warehouse team on monthly cycle counts
• Help prepare finished goods shipment documentation, coordinate with forwarders on shipment allocation and update shipment status in the customer system

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in any discipline
• At least 2 years of work experience in materials or production planning; candidates with relevant qualifications but no experience are also welcome

Required skills

• Proficiency in advanced Excel
• Experience with a warehouse management system or SAP is an added advantage
