Mechanical & Electrical Engineer – M&E Coordination

About the role

The M&E Engineer will lead the coordination of mechanical and electrical installations across projects islandwide in Singapore. You will work closely with consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure seamless integration of M&E systems with architectural and structural elements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all M&E installation activities with consultants, main contractors, sub‑contractors, and vendors.
• Develop and update M&E work schedules, aligning them with overall project timelines.
• Review shop drawings, coordination drawings, and As‑Built drawings for compliance with specifications and standards.
• Supervise on‑site M&E works, ensuring quality, safety, and design compliance.
• Serve as the primary liaison between project management, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and coordinate testing, commissioning, and statutory inspections.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, support site teams, and manage material usage and budget control.
• Prepare handover documentation, including O&M manuals and As‑Built drawings.

Required profile

• Executive‑level professional with full‑time availability.
• Willingness to work islandwide in Singapore on construction sites.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder liaison and coordination meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM tools for clash detection and coordination drawings.
• Experience reviewing M&E shop drawings and As‑Built documentation.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and statutory inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with Singapore building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
