Mechanical & Electrical Engineer – Singapore

About the role

We are looking for an M&E Engineer to support the M&E Manager in planning, coordinating and supervising mechanical and electrical works across our projects in Singapore. The role ensures timely, quality installations and provides technical support throughout the construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the M&E Manager in planning, coordinating and supervising all Mechanical & Electrical works.
• Prepare, review and coordinate shop drawings, technical submissions, RFIs and method statements with consultants, subcontractors and vendors.
• Review M&E drawings against architectural and structural drawings to identify clashes and discrepancies before site execution.
• Provide technical support to M&E supervisors and subcontractors during installation, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and authority regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, verify workmanship quality and address non‑conformances.
• Assist in preparing work schedules, material tracking lists and manpower forecasts.
• Coordinate with consultants to resolve technical issues and obtain approvals.
• Support testing and commissioning activities, preparing test procedures and ensuring proper documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of M&E engineering experience in building projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working with main contractors or M&E contractors on commercial, industrial or mixed‑use developments.
• Proven experience in installation, coordination, testing and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work independently.
