Mechanical Engineer – Autonomous Vehicle Systems

About the role

Venti Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop and integrate mechanical components for heavy‑duty autonomous trucks. You will translate real‑world vehicle measurements into production‑ready parts, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and reliability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design custom brackets, mounts, and modular sub‑assemblies that integrate sensors, computers, and routing.
• Create mechanisms for real‑time data acquisition such as wheel encoders and joint position sensors.
• Measure trucks and machinery on‑site to produce accurate CAD models for the Venti AV kit.
• Generate manufacturing drawings, obtain supplier quotes, and manage the fabrication process.
• Prototype, test, and validate designs before full‑scale production.
• Prepare detailed assembly instructions for fabrication and integration teams.
• Develop maintenance documentation to ensure easy servicing of hardware.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and fast, accurate CAD modeling.
• Strong understanding of sheet‑metal bending, CNC milling, and 3D‑printing constraints.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems for integration purposes.
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and managing vendor relationships.
