Mechanical Engineer – Design & Development

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team on Jurong Island, Singapore. You will be responsible for designing, developing and improving mechanical components, systems and equipment that support our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, systems and equipment.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Perform calculations, simulations and feasibility studies.
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with production, quality and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Support installation, commissioning, maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and clients on technical matters and prepare technical reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–3 years of relevant experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work on‑site and flexibility for extended hours when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes and engineering standards.
• Ability to repair boom‑lifts and scissors‑lifts.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
