Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will support the execution of mechanical works on a large‑scale project in Singapore. The role involves daily site inspections, coordination with contractors, and ensuring that all mechanical installations meet quality, schedule, and budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine technical site visits, inspections and progress reporting.
• Coordinate and oversee main contractor and subcontractor execution of mechanical works.
• Monitor project schedules, validate master schedules with the Project Scheduler and prepare status reports.
• Plan, supervise construction, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Review subcontractor claims, invoices, design submissions, IFC and shop drawings for compliance.
• Verify completed works against contract requirements and integrate with other technical teams.
• Create commissioning plans, test templates and assess material samples.
• Provide regular progress updates to the client and maintain organized project documentation.
• Attend coordination meetings, ensure compliance with specifications and provide technical guidance to the project team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in construction or MEP projects.
