Mechanical Engineer (New Product Development)

About the role

BeeX is building the world’s most advanced Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUVs). As a Mechanical Engineer in New Product Development you will design and implement mechanical systems for autonomous platforms, working both in the office and at sea trials in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement overall mechanical systems of HAUVs.
• Create mechanical components, mechanisms and electronics housings using CAD.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis simulations to assess structural integrity and stress.
• Produce 2D fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Assemble and test components in the workshop and in real‑world environments.
• Participate in sea trials to evaluate mechanical designs.
• Gather user requirements together with management and customers.
• Establish test procedures for quality control and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 0‑3 years of experience in mechanical product design from concept to delivery.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
• Hands‑on experience with prototyping methods such as 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, welding and composites.
• Experience with FEA and CFD tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, OpenFOAM).
• Knowledge of corrosion control and thermal design methods is a plus.
