Mechanical Engineer - Plumbing & Sanitary Works (HDB/Condo)

About the role

Fuku is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of plumbing and sanitary works on HDB and condominium residential projects in Singapore. The role covers all phases, from pre-construction planning through to project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural, M&E and plumbing drawings to identify site requirements, discrepancies and clashes before work starts.
• Plan and coordinate installation activities with site teams, subcontractors and other trades so that works follow the project programme.
• Liaise with consultants, main contractors and other parties on technical matters, site issues and work coordination.
• Carry out regular site inspections to ensure installations meet approved drawings, specifications and standards.
• Follow up on material submissions, shop drawings, technical submissions and inspection requirements.
• Troubleshoot site constraints and technical issues and propose practical solutions.
• Track project progress, manpower and material needs, flagging potential delays to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate testing, inspection, rectification and handover of plumbing and sanitary works.
• Maintain proper project documentation and records throughout the project.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in plumbing and sanitary projects.
• Hands-on experience with HDB and/or condominium projects in Singapore.
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction practices and requirements.
• Able to work independently, manage site matters and meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of plumbing and sanitary installation, drawings and site coordination.
• Able to read and interpret M&E and plumbing drawings independently.
• Experience working with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors.
