Mechatronics Design Engineer

About the role

The Mechatronics Design Engineer will create innovative mechatronic solutions to optimise manufacturing processes at Hyundai. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to research, develop, and deploy bespoke mechatronic systems, from concept through to final deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of custom mechatronic system solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, specifications, and test plans.
• Generate 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and schematic diagrams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Validate designs using hand calculations, computer simulations, and laboratory testing.
• Develop electronic/control circuits, algorithms, and integrate sensors, actuators, and pneumatic components.
• Build proof‑of‑concept and MVP prototypes using rapid‑prototyping and conventional manufacturing methods.
• Manage external vendors and collaborators, control costs, and review deliverables.
• Prepare technical reports, system manuals, and patent documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in mechatronic system design and development.
• Strong understanding of robot manipulators, end effectors, AMR mechanisms, sensors and mechatronic components.

Required skills

• 3D CAD modelling and engineering drawing creation.
• Schematic diagram development.

• Algorithm development for electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
