Medical Technologist (Special Chemistry / Immunology)

About the role

Labcorp, a global leader in laboratory services, is seeking a Medical Technologist (Special Chemistry / Immunology) to join its team in Singapore. The role covers clinical chemistry and immunoassay testing, with a preference for candidates with immunology and coagulation/protein-electrophoresis experience; fresh graduates are also welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in clinical chemistry and immunoassays.
• Determine sample acceptability using guidelines and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Validate the accuracy of laboratory data and evaluate test results in line with procedures.
• Operate instruments according to established written procedures.
• Run scheduled experiments to evaluate new reagents.
• Maintain quality control of laboratory testing to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Document corrective and preventative actions with good documentation practices.
• Assist in servicing and maintaining laboratory equipment per manufacturer and SOP requirements.
• Comply with regulatory guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical or biological science from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred: 2 years or more of clinical laboratory experience in immunology (EIA / ELISA) and/or coagulation and protein-electrophoresis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a team, independently, and handle extensive manual laboratory testing duties.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, with occasional work on public holidays.
